FORESHOCK

Independent DeFi risk intelligence.

Foreshock is an independent platform focused on helping DeFi users understand changes in protocol risk and connect those changes to portfolio exposure. The platform, assessment framework, and monitoring system are developed under a single product vision centered on consistency, evidence quality, explainability, and explicit treatment of uncertainty.

Operating principles

Independent conclusions

Commercial relationships do not determine ratings.

Evidence before confidence

Incomplete evidence lowers confidence.

Explainable output

Principal drivers are always stated.

Clear limitations

Ratings are never guarantees of safety.

Deliberate coverage

Assessment quality over artificial breadth. Only protocols clearing the data sufficiency threshold are published.

Research standards designed to protect independence.

Ratings are not for sale

Payment may affect prioritization, timing, or scope. It never affects the rating, conclusions, confidence, or publication of adverse findings.

Sponsored assessments are disclosed

A sponsor may provide documents, identify factual errors, and answer questions. A sponsor may not negotiate the rating, suppress findings, or block publication, subject to agreed engagement terms.

Corrections are reviewed, not negotiated

A correction request is held to the same evidence standards as the original assessment. Outcomes range from no change to a documented update.

Conflicts of interest

Disclosed and managed through disclosure, scope limits, additional review, or declining the engagement.

Evidence policy

Material claims require identifiable support. Secondary-only evidence is reflected in confidence. Anonymous claims and marketing materials are not treated as reviewable evidence.

Proprietary methods

The interpretation of an assessment is public. The implementation behind it is protected.
